Flower Growing and Floristry Days 25. – 27. 2. 2016

A meeting of the members of the Association of Flower Growers and Florists of the Czech Republic was held at the Flower Growing and Floristry days 2016. The event was held within the premises of AGRO CS Česká Skalice.

Representatives of ÚKZÚZ presented their lecture on the registration of plant care agents. Representatives of the Czech Trade Inspectorate (ČOI) from Hradec Králové and Pardubice spoke about the regular inspections held by this authority. We learned a lot of new and interesting information.

Afternoon was reserved for the general meeting of the Association of Flower Growers and Florists of the Czech Republic. Participants presented reports about the organisation’s activities and budget, future plan and strategy, and a new budget proposal. A new member of the revision committee was elected: Ing. Marcela Nachlingerová. The members approved the Statutes of the organisation and its key documents – Meeting Code, Contributions Code, and Election Code. The discussion focused mainly on the Marketing Fund and the participation of florists therein. Our participation in other organisations was discussed as well. A cordial party followed in the evening.

The second day was again dedicated to the Flower Growing and Floristry Days, with visits to AGRO CS, Mikan Horticulture in Chrudim, and a friendly meeting at FLORASIS in Jezbořice. In general, the Flower Growing and Floristry Days were a very successful event that was enjoyed by all participants.
